Scriptures: Psalm 100:1-5
1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his[a];
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
People do not know about God and also do not know how to treat Him well. Therefore, God gave us an example in the book of Psalms.
“Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.” This is what the person said, the person who experienced the tasted of praising and worshiping God, the person who encountered God, and the person who became successful by doing so.
“Shout for joy to the LORD. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.” Serving Him while rejoicing is an application of the principle of reason. The principle of reason has nature of eternity. Serving God while rejoicing is the essence of a human being, and this is done for the sake of fulfilling the Will of God.
Serving God can can be expressed in many ways in everyday life: through actions, through lips, and through faces. Serving God with joy and calling Him in praise Him does not only refer to praising Him with lips. Just as a big zelkova tree has many branches, you should praise and worship God in many ways by taking action.
“Know that Jehovah is God.” He is our God! He is God of those who are like this. He is not somebody else’s God, but our God. “You are my son; today I have become your father. (Psalm 2:7)” God clearly said that we are absolutely His. Everyone should make God theirs. I hope that you will become a greedy person who makes God yours.
