[Message] Pastor Jung Myeong Seok
[Scriptures] Matthew 18: 1-10
1. At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them.
3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5 And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.
6 “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.
7 Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!
8 If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire.
9 And if your eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell
10 “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.
Hallelujah! I bid you the love of God who is eternal and the peace of the Holy Son.
Today, in observance of children’s day, I will deliver a message about ‘children and teenagers.’
when it comes to people, their futures are determined by them learning well, taking action, and growing from the time ‘they are ten years old until they turn twenty.’
In order for people to succeed, they must be invested in, taught, raised, managed, and be given the great Word so they will take action on them at the time they are young.
People turn out according to how they are made.
Just as food, merchandise, houses, and buildings, they all turn out depending on how they are made according to their [specific] purpose.
Whether you are children or middle and high school students, the way you turn out and the way you are used depends on you making yourself.
However, God does not make you [into anything] when you, yourself are doing nothing. It is by you, yourself listening to, taking action on the great Word of God and the Holy Son that you make yourself.
Once you have made yourself, that joy and happiness cannot be expressed with words.
You, yourself are like ‘a vessel.’ You have to make the vessel called yourself. Then into that vessel will be given the blessing you want and the treasure hidden in the field.
The second messagie is that the greatest thing we must do in taking action is ‘starting.’
VICTORY OR DEFEAT is determined by how much you do your responsibility of starting ‘at the right time.’
If you fail to get started at the right time but instead do it late, it will be like not eating food at the right time – it will not taste good. So you will quit along the way like you stop eating food in the midst of eating. Ice cream too has to be eaten at the right time. Then it is refreshing.
If the right time passes and it melts, you will quit eating it in the middle.
In the same way, if you don’t start at the right time, you will end without completing it to the end. But if you start at the right time, you will end up completing it to the end.
Listeing to today's message, I hope that each of you will hurry up and start ‘the things you have not been able to do until now.’ Right now is time to start. I bless you that you will hurry up and start and gain what you want to gain.
