Healing the brain and heart with refreshing mountains and water! The summer retreat of 2013 has begun.
On Aug. 3, the summer retreat for career and campus members was held in the Wolmyeongdong training center.
With the theme of ‘healing the brain and heart with refreshing mountains and water’ and following the Word about training the body, this year’s summer retreat had the following order of programs: the Word, an opening ceremony, a WMD tour, a swimming competition, and a closing ceremony.
There were six hiking courses in the tour program – four courses for women and two courses for men- and a total of 150 proverbs were put in place on the corners of each course, where people could see them as they walked on the paths.
A swimming competition was held in Wolmyeong Lake and people could play in the water. For safety, there was a rule that no more than] 1000 people were allowed to go in and play in the water at a time.
With the closing ceremony in Wolmyeong Lake as the conclusion, the 2013 career and campus retreat finished safely and opened the curtain for the 2013 summer retreats.
