Taiwan Myeongwol church held its “Testimony Contest” over four weeks in August. Their theme was to work together when gathered and to become individual heroes when scattered.
This event was like a survival game. Twenty people from the church participated in the contest of becoming an individual hero: We developed participants’ abilities to testify for the Word and found and raised new leaders.
The event also included a mentoring system , so that the mentors would help the participants to grow and raise their levels. The mentors enthusiastically helped the participants to grow as leaders and lecturers, and they also shared their experiences and testimonies. Thus they got to know each other in a deeper way.
Every step of the way, the great inspiration and working of the Holy Spirit was felt
In the first round, the theme was the “Lord and I.” Participants shared the most touching stories they made with the Heavens in their lives. In listening to each participant’s individual story with Heaven, people felt the great love of Heaven and received great inspiration.
In the second round, the participants gave presentations on the theme, “How do you communicate with the Lord through your soul body?” They testified in detail about the roles played by the soul body and about how they used their soul bodies to communicate with the Lord.
The third round was about the “value of rapture.” They awakened people’s sense of why everyone’s dream should be the rapture.
In the fourth round, they testified about the “Holy Son.” Through these presentations, not only the participants but also the audience deeply realized that the “Holy Son is the mentor for life, the One who saves us, and the One who loves us the most.”
In the final round--using the TED style [of presentation]--the four participants who had passed the third round competed with each other passionately. They used digital media to testify and suggested new ways to lecture.
The contest with only love and no enemies, and that was full of grace!
Wang Wi-shen--who won the consolation match and became the winner of the contest--said, “God hnas give this victory to all male campus members. Because men realize through taking action rather than through talking, I thought that for men, testifying about [this truth] only with words would be weak. However, through this contest I did things that I thought I wasn’t capable of. I believe this is the beginning, not the end.” Yao Kwan-in said that before she went to the podium, she felt great fire in her heart, so her love for God had grown deeper.
Minister Yang Ting-ting--one of the judges--said, “We have found new leaders through this contest. Raising new leaders is the best [thing to do]! I was very moved by how you testified. The Lord made our one-on-one relationship much deeper and stronger through this process.”
Pastor Lim Whye-chun--who joined the final contest--expressed that without the Lord’s love and God’s love we would not have been able to carry out this contest.
