Unlike the sunny weather yesterday, spring rain came down today. In the afternoon, hailstones accompanied by a gust of wind fell.
Because of the hailstones that fell on Wolmyeongdong this time, spring flowers, which have survived through several rainfalls and wind, fell down.
There is an old saying, ‘if there are frequent spring rains, the hands of the mother-in-law get bigger.’ When there is frequent spring rainfall, the right amount of precipitation gets secured, which helps with growing rice planting, barley growing, etc. So it results in abundant/good harvest. Because of this, [the saying] holds a meaning of the daughter-in-law or mother-in-law becoming more generous.
Although I was not able to feel the spring because the weather became too cold from the frequent rain, I pray that there will be abundant harvest this year as much as there was ample rain.
