The White Scenery of Wolmyeongdong

In spring, lying down on the green lawn,
And reminiscing about life
In summer, living in green verdure,
And reminiscing about life
In autumn, walking on the fallen leaves,
And reminiscing on life.
In winter, looking at the world from the window,
And reminiscing about life.

When the first heavy snow flakes fall [from Heaven],
Everyone wants to go out and kiss the snow.
Everyone is so happy when it snows.
How happy we would be
If a white person came down from Heaven?

Snow has been falling in Wolmyeongdong (WMD) ever since the weather became cold. There is only a ‘white canvas’ because everything has been whitened by the snow. The snow has become one with the scenery of WMD and has made it even more beautiful. The yellow autumn leaves of WMD embraced the snow softly. The green pine trees display the spirit even more.

Just like the poem, ‘Reminiscence’, from Pastor Jung Myeong Seok’s 2nd book of Poems of Inspiration, because of the snowfall, people reflect on their lives by looking at the scenery from their windows. People talk about their stories, confess their hearts, and say about what they wanted to say to the Holy Son through conversing and thinking about the Holy Son.

Today, snow is falling throughout the nation, so I hope that all of you will constantly seek the Holy Trinity in your daily lives, and have time to talk with the Holy Trinity.
