▲ Blooming of catkins in Wolmyeongdong
Spring is evidently in the air. We hear the sound of the coming of spring along with the spring sunshine. On the delicate scent of flowers the springtime is carried here.
This vernal season gently comes before us as it casts away winter with the warm wind. Although the wind may still be cold, the trees are ready to blossom their buds already.
Since the 22nd of last month, buds have sprouted here and there around Wolmyeongdong (WMD) on withered branches. These catkins infused the atmosphere of spring in WMD. From then on, warm days continued and it was forecasted that the inflorescent period would be brought forward by two to three weeks, compared to previous years.
The energy of spring that gives birth to lives crossed mountains and oceans and has reached WMD. It has embraced WMD and is now conceiving new lives.
