Busy Wolmyeongdong prepareing for “Heaven’s Word Language Summer Retreat” in 2014

The 2014 “Heaven’s Word Language Summer Retreat” is starting on August 3, this weekend.  The Summer retreat is from Aug. 3 to Aug. 16 and is expected to be a great turning point for the second half of this year.  The Wolmyeongdong Holy Land workers, volunteer workers, and the Retreat Committee are preparing with a great effort at the end of the preparation hoping visitors will become individual heroes after listening to the Word and returning to their places.

Artists have drawn pictures based on morning proverbs that were delivered by P. Jung Myeong Seok every morning and have placed them in various places aroundin Wolmyeongdong.  The drawings will surely catch people’s hearts.  If you want to meditate and make your heart and mind happy but do not know how to, come to Wolmyeongdong. You will have time to heal your heart and mind as you look at the drawings.

One of the highlights of the summer retreat is the rock map, which explains about the stories of the rocks in Wolmyeongdong for those who wanted to hear about them. You will walk among the dense trees following the walking trails, feel and breathe in phytoncides, and learn the stories that the Trinity have worked on. You will have fun learning the stories of the rocks and trees which are like your own life stories.

Phytoncides are an overall designation of self protective complexes that plants produce against diseases and harmful insects or germs. The main ingredient is Terpene and it gives off the distinctive pleasant scent of a forest.
