Matthew 5:48
Adam and Eve, Cain, Ham--a son of Noah, Abraham, Esau, Jacob,
Lot’s Son-in-law, Lot’s wife, Samson, Vashti, King Saul, King Solomon,
the people of Israel in the time of Moses, Prophet Jonah,
Peter, disciples of Jesus, the Pharisees, and the teachers of the law…
Who are these people?
They are all figures of the bible, who made ‘mistakes’ before God.
Actually, the lives we live are not very different from theirs.
Even though we promise ourselves, “I won’t make a mistake,”
we end up making both big and small mistakes.
Mistakes are caused by our own ignorance and misunderstanding.
They also occur when we take action without checking first.
However, by asking Jehovah God, who is the root of all knowledge,
and doing things together with the Lord, we can avoid making mistakes.
So let’s challenge ourselves to live without making mistakes from now on.
