Message: Pastor Jung Myeong Seok
Scriptures: Matthew 11:3-7
... to ask him, "Are you the one who is to come, or should be expect someone else?"
Jesus replied, "Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me."
As John's disciples were leaving, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John: "What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swayed by the wind? ..."
Hallelujah! I pray that you will be filled abundantly with the love of the eternal Holy Father God and the peace of the Holy Son.
In general, if you study wealthy people, [you will find that] they are diligent, put in effort tenaciously, and are wise. In terms of faith, you must be diligent as well; then you will live well in your faith.
Even if you were given fertile land, were given a piece of land in Seoul (or the capital city), or rented a store without interest, if you were to work hard from dawn, you would make profits. In the same way, you become a rich person in faith, depending on how much you work hard, put in efforts, devote yourself, pray, and study.
You who are wealthy, tear down the old things in order to live a better life: [break down] the silver house and build a gold house, and [shatter] the gold house in order to build a diamond house.
What material do you use to build a house of faith? Since it is your own house, [your success in faith] depends on your hard work. Therefore, become rich in faith by working hard and tenaciously, demolish the old things, and the house of your soul and spirit more ideally and with diligence and hard work.
A human being is serving and living with God! It is with Him, the greatest Being, the Almighty Being, the All Powerful Being, and the being who is the origin of the fundamentals of our lives! We believe in God who oversees everything and loves us even know, whether we know or not! What happy and joyful truths these are!
You became ill of heart when you could not love the one who loves you, grants you kindness, and has fulfilled your dream.
At Elijah's time, people were happy and joyful, danced, bustled around worshipping idols such as Baal and Asherah, and never stopped playing music at the palace. However, Elijah said, "This is wrong. Serving God is the happiest, most joyful, and most ideal [thing]."
There is no need to measure how satisfying and ideal believing in and living within the truth of God is.
I pray that all of you meet God and live forever with Him.
