Christmas should not have the atmosphere of one’s own birthday or marriage. Christmas should be a day to receive God with love by giving glory to Him through the culture and arts while being moved and thankful just for the fact that He sent the Christ, our Lord, to us.

When I asked my mother whether or not we were holding a party for her younger child’s birthday, she answered,“Why do I have to take care of the birthday? I was the one who raised her after painfully given birth to her. Do I have to also prepare a birthday meal?
Originally, it was only right for the child, who was given birth, to be thankful and to take care of the parents.”
