The Lord’s Light of Life Church Begins UCLA Evangelism

The Lord’s Light of Life Church has been diligently evangelizing at UCLA ever since the beginning of this year. Since we were still hardened in our brains, it was difficult to manage the new lives that were being evangelized. However, since Pastor Jeong Myeong-seok taught us about the brain, we have learned and are now changing the direction of our ministry efforts at UCLA.

Over the summer, the ministry team set a prayer condition and prepared diligently for UCLA’s new school year, which began on September 26th. We participated in our first evangelism event on September 23rd. Every year before the year officially begins at UCLA, UCLA hosts an Enormous Activities Fair for many of the students to promote their clubs. Since this is the year of the Word and evangelism, we decided to testify about the Lord by centering the theme of our club at UCLA on the brain.

By promoting the importance of keeping the brain healthy by training the brain with good Word and action, we were able to collect 120 contacts at the fair. Furthermore, since our club is also a campus ministry, we were able to attract 36 people who were already interested in learning about the Bible. Some of them were really shocked about how we used the brain to also promote having a healthy relationship with God.

Although we have gathered a lot of contacts, this is just the first step. Now, we have to see who will be willing to invest their time in coming to learn about the true God. There are many other Christian clubs that we have to compete with, but because we focus on developing ourselves based on the Word instead of just fellowship, I am confident that we will attract many students who will become standards for God to use.
