(Translator’s note: Shimjeong means a heart that is deeper than a deep heart.)
A person who is one in shimjeong [with you],
no matter how much your flesh brushes against theirs,
you wouldn’t feel a thing,
but your skin would only peel off, leaving you only with boils.
Ah! Yes, yes, that is right.
If you were to meet a person who does not fit your shimjeong,
you would suffer from heartache
and would only get a headache.
However, a person who is one in shimjeong [with me],
even just looking at that person from far away
makes my heart sing,
makes my shimjeong dance,
and makes the electric current of love flow through my arms and legs.
Ah! Even human beings are like that.
Then imagine what would happen
if we are not one in shimjeong with God.
Wait, hey you.
You were born a human being but haven’t been through this shared experience?
If people are not one in shimjeong with God,
their hearts, shimjeong, and bodies experience a living hell
and their lives are twisted around and around.
Ah! I have realized.
Even if a human being lives only one day,
whether on the the Earth or in heaven, a life fitted to each other’s shimjeong
is heaven.
