Offering the seatby 날개단약속

After we moved to Seoul, visiting an acquainted person with my 7 months old son was the first outing.

I expected that it would take an hour to get there by taking a subway and walking.

On the way, we sat down on seats comfortably and were watching people, and taking our time.

When the subway came out from the underpass to the ground, fall rain was drizzling.

When I just wrapped my son's head with my coat and started walking fast without an umbrella,

all of sudden, I saw an umbrella covered me and my son from rain.

Coincidentally, that person was the on the way to the same hospital that we were going, so I felt relieved.

Around 4 p.m when we left our regard to the patient and were on the way home,

subway was packed with many people.

People were going in and out repeatedly like a tide.

Faces with no colors were decorating inside of the subway in stuffy atmosphere.

I and my son who were chromatic colors went into those crowds. Of course, because of my 7 months old son, they became chromatic colors.

There were no seats to sit so I was standing with puzzled eyes and body, a lady who was carrying a baggage on her shoulder said, "Hey, baby's mom, sit over here. You might be tired."

At that moment, a old man sat down.

We exchanged awkward smile.

And when there was an empty seat, she said, "Hey, sit here."

Because of that kind lady, we was able to go toward home sitting comfortably.

When I saw the lady after I sat down, she might be tired because she had two baggages with her but she yielded her seat to me.

I was very thankful.

I thought, 'I guess virtue of offering seats is still alive even to Seoul city cynical people.'

but I thought again, 'No, it's not. Maybe it is because she is mom because she is a woman.'

Maybe she offered her seat because she probably experienced carrying a baby in the past, so she might feel bad for me.

Thank you.
