I lost my kid. It all happened in the blink of an eye.

One hot summer night,

I went to a lake park where there was a musical fountain, which was far away from my house, with my husband and my kids to cool off.

My kids ran towards the park as soon as they got out of the car and after a while....

My older kids came to me and said the youngest had disappeared.

The whole family looked around the park for him but we could not find him anywhere.

“Thud.” My heart dropped.

I was running around the walking trail and the park, shouting my kid’s name out loud like a crazy person.

‘Lord! Please find my kid. Don’t let me lose him forever.’

I worried about him crossing the road because he was scared or taking somebody’s hand and following them. Gradually, I was getting anxious.

After a while, I got a phone call.

It was a short message telling me to go to where we were first separated.

I dashed there and saw my son running to me.

“How scared you must have been! Son, you were really scared, weren’t you?”

I hugged and comforted my kid who was crying, covered with tears and a runny nose.

When I heard his story, it was like this.

While he was running only looking forwards, he got separated from his sisters.

After that, while he was crying and wandering around the long walking trail around the lake where the trees and grasses were dense, he met a man.

That man told him that if he stayed there sitting down on the chair, mom and dad would come find him. He did what the man said, and sat down crying on the chair and looking around for his family. Then he met us.

“Mom, I was so scared! I felt like a monster was coming after me. Sniff.”

I was so thankful that I found my kid.

While I was giving a thanksgiving prayer, I thought about how much the Lord would be anxious when he lost our beloved spirits and souls. I felt the Lord’s heart deeply.
