The teachings of the Lordby 김인주

As spring break continued on, my youngest son--blood type A--caught a really bad cold, so my busy days flew by quickly because I had to take care of him. In the end, I also caught a really bad cold.

I became dizzy, my stomach ached and I was so cold that my body shivered even when I was wearing layers of thick fur clothing and had the floors heated. I had no strength in my legs and arms, and even when I was just sitting, I felt like I was being sucked into the floor. So as I ached for a couple of days, I prayed to God repeatedly like a mantra so that he could give me strength.

I was thankful and felt relieved because all this happened only during spring break, but a week later, my first son started to have a fever. It was now a blood type B cold (more unique and harder to control).

“Sigh~”

As soon as I received the check-up results from the hospital, I brought my sons to the hospital. When I first made the decision to bring them there it was after having experienced being completely drained of strength myself when I had the cold a couple of days ago.

After putting them in the hospital, I spent my weekend with them quietly in the hospital room.

When my kids, who were having a hard time and were worn out because of the high heat began to bustle with energy once again and wanted to leave the room, we were able to leave the hospital.

Again, I was thankful that the incident occurred during a weekend.

“God, who allows us to dig more and gain more from where we have fallen” and helps us change for the better.

This was the Word that came to my mind, which I had heard some time ago.

Although God didn’t intentionally give us the cold, when I myself experienced how bad the cold was, it became an opportunity to really understand my children’s heart and therefore became something I could be thankful about.

There were days when I really could not understand my children and when they gave me a hard time, even though they were my own children. After thinking for a long time and calling on the Lord while I was walking up the stairs, the Lord’s inspiration finally hit me,
“Think from your children’s perspective~”

“Ah….!”

At that moment I really realized that although they might not be able to clearly express all of their pain, they may actually be enduring an illness, and so I was reminded of the Lord’s teaching.

The inspiration given at a particular time is the teaching that solves the problem like an answer key.
