Is the owner there!? by 주아나

Once upon a time, there was a person with the last name Kim who had been known for only digging deep into the mountains. If the villagers said there was something on a certain mountain, Kim would go to dig in that mountain, and if the villagers said another mountain seemed unordinary, Kim would go to dig in that mountain.

However, the thing that Kim wanted was never found, and instead, only useless items were found.
The man was looking for a treasure. Then one day, an anonymous traveler went to find Kim after hearing about his story from someone.

After inquiring around Kim’s house, the traveler went to his house.

“Owner, are you there?! Owner! Are you there?!”

The traveler yelled while knocking on the front door.
But the man was nowhere to be seen.
The traveler could not wait any longer because the sun was setting, so he hoped to meet Kim the following day.

The next day, the traveler once again came to the man’s house.

“Hey owner! Owner! I brought you some news that you so dearly wanted to hear!”

However, not a single sound was made from the house.
The traveler had no choice but to [give up], feeling disappointed, and left.

But he [paused] for one second and thought:

“It seems like he doesn’t know that I am here yet. Then I should use a different method.” The traveler then requested the villagers for one thing.
“I am a person who brought some news which the man [who digs deep in mountains] would be glad to hear, so if you see him, tell him that I will be waiting in front of his house.”

The next day, the traveler visited Kim’s house again. But the man was nowhere to be found. The traveler asked a passerbyer: “Hey, why is the owner of this house always nowhere to be found?”

“I think he went over the mountain to a field to dig something up.”

“Did you tell him that I have come [to see him]?”

“I have. But he still didn’t come to his senses. The day before yesterday, he was at the field over the mountain, yesterday a gravelly field, and today a weedy field...”

The traveler could not hide his frustrated heart. It was because he was the one who had come to tell him about the treasure hidden in a field.

He came looking for the man who had been looking so dearly for a treasure, but the fact was that he could not reveal it [to the man] because the man was not there.

The traveler thought deeply.

“Should I just leave the treasure at his door? Or should I just hide it and leave a note? No..., because the other villagers who are greedy will steal it. No way.
Ah, is it so hard to talk even a little?”

The traveler gazed at the house for a long time.

The sun was barely shining over the hill.
It had already been four days since the traveler came.
Now the time had come for him to leave.

“Tsk tsk, although I want to tell him what the treasure hidden in the field is, and where it is, I have to leave without saying anything because the owner didn’t think [about meeting me].

Although through thoughts, I blessed him, spoke to him about the future, gave answers about salvation to him, loved him and gave warnings to him, since the owner of the man--which is his thoughts--was not at all interested in me but only the other things in his heart, I cannot do anything but leave with a hurt heart since he is like a house without an owner.

You, who are searching for the treasure of life,

do not become like a house without thoughts since you do not know when I will come.
Become a house with thoughts that can gladly greet me whenever I go [to visit you].”
