People only like words that pertain to their lives because they are used to the constitutions of their lifestyles.
Therefore, they listen to words that belong to the abyss and hell and they even like hearing them. It is because that kind of a person lives a life of hell.
- Heaven’s Word My Word Vol.8 -
My dad has severe high blood pressure, obesity, and diabetes.
He has to take a handful of pills every day.
Despite that, his dietary habits are not very good.
He drinks half a cup of liquor (the same amount as half a cup for milk) with his every meal.
He said that he does this because he heard on TV that a person with diabetes has to drink distilled liquor, not fruit liquor.
I said to my dad,
“Dad, if somebody tells you to eat this and that, it is music to your ears, but if somebody tells you not to drink liquor, not to eat meat, or not to eat too much, you do not want to listen, right?”
My dad just chuckled and, together with some salt, put the one egg left into his mouth.
The thing that is more difficult to change than the hardened habits and hardened constitutions of one’s life is one’s ‘hardened brain’, which [is the tendency to] only hear what one wants to hear.
