Why it’s good to take off our shoes quickly

If we try to travel while carrying a ‘boat’ on our backs, ‘taking action quickly’ will be impossible.

A teacher and his disciple were going on a long journey when they ran into a deep, wide river. They barely managed to find a small boat and crossed the river with it safely. When they arrived on the other side of the river, the disciple tied up the boat with a rope and tried to carry it on his back.

Bewildered, the teacher asked, “Will you travel with that boat on your back?”

The disciple answered, “This is a truly precious boat because it let us cross the river.”

Then the teacher said, “How foolish! Doesn't it occur to you that the boat will make your journey exhausting? In the end, you will collapse due to the weight of the boat and will be unable to make it to where you want to go.”

Our individual ideologies, thoughts, and realizations are like the ‘boat’ that enabled us to cross the ocean of the world to reach the holy land of the history of this time period. It is a fact that the ‘boat’ allowed all of us to come to this great and holy history.

However, from now on, in order to go to the Holy Trinity, we must first do the work of taking off our dirty shoes on this holy land where we stand. We have to put down the boat that we were once aboard.

[The Lord] said that only those who take action quickly can eliminate Satan who is in front of them, and can do things without suffering harm. He told us that the ‘order and positions’ of people are ultimately determined by how fast they take action, and in order to act fast, we must be able to act instantly at the same time as we think. That is the state in which we ‘tie our thoughts and bodies together.’ If we try to travel carrying the ‘boat’ on our backs, ‘taking action quickly’ will be impossible.

When we take off our shoes, we will be able to live a great life like the ‘Divine Being’

As for God’s command to Moses—“Take off your sandals”—in the main Scripture [of the message], it could be related to the reason why slaves had to be barefoot at the time of Moses. Slaves took their shoes off to show respect and to worship their owners. It was symbolic of their ‘absolute obedience’--that they lived only for their ‘owners,’ not for ‘themselves.’ Additionally, people took off their dirty shoes when entering holy places as an act of courtesy. However, when God says “Take off your shoes” in the new Word of the time period, it is different from when He told Moses, “Take off your sandals.”

There was a kingdom of rabbits that was ruled by a benevolent tiger king.

In a peaceful village, there lived a wicked wolf. So the tiger instilled his mentality in his beloved rabbits and worked hard in all kinds of ways so that they would become independently strong rabbits (rabbits that do well individually). Then one day, the wolf, who was starving to death, was wandering around the village looking for food. At that time, he spotted a rabbit passing by, and he quickly snatched her at once.

At that moment, the rabbit, who had been educated well by the tiger and had his mentality, said, “How dare you! Do you know who I am? Let go of me at once!”

The wolf felt the spirit of the tiger from the rabbit’s eyes, and in the confusion of the moment, he let go of the rabbit.

The wolf was quite shocked by the baffling situation that he had never imagined would happen. He calmed himself and went out to hunt again the next day. When he saw the same rabbit, he snatched her at once with his claw again. Then the rabbit said, “Again? Do you want to die in my hands???”

Shocked, the wolf missed the rabbit again.

The wolf made up his mind to never hunt that rabbit again, and on the next day, he tried to hunt carefully by choosing a rabbit that he had never seen before. Then he caught one, after checking that it definitely wasn't the one from the day before.

However, that rabbit said to the wolf,

“Everyone knows about you now, fool. You still haven’t come to your senses, have you? Today will be your funeral.”

The stunned wolf let go of the rabbit and quickly ran away. After that, the wolf never showed up in the rabbit village again.

In this way, when we take off our shoes, the thoughts of the Holy Trinity come into us, and when we use our bodies to put those thoughts into action right away, we can live a great life like the ‘Divine Being’ as human beings.

[The Lord] gave us a precious message to let us live a great life like the Divine Being as His counterparts of love.

There is no reason for us to keep the dirty and smelly shoes on.
