Daniel 6:10
Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.
Daniel became a captive when his country was destroyed by Babylon. He became the Prime Minister of Babylon who became a favorite of the king. However, people became envious and jealous of him.
Daniel’s enemies found out about Daniel’s habit of praying. They told the king, “Please make a decree that people who do not worship the king but worship other gods will be put into the lions’ den.” The king liked the idea, so he published the decree. However, Daniel who loved God the most did not yield to the king’s order but gave glory only to God.
The enemy who heard that Daniel was still worshiping his God, told the king and put Daniel into the lions’ den. The hungry lions… to Daniel who God is always with, what would happen to him?
